Temple University
Temple University commonly referred to as Temple is a comprehensive state related formerly private research university in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It was founded in 1884 by Baptist Minister Russell . Temple University is ranked by the Carnegie Classification of of Institutions of Higher Education as
a "Doctoral University: Highest Research Activity" or R1, placing it among the top four percent of all four-year institutions in the nation. In 2013, Temple received over $224 million in research funding, ranking it 94th out of 643 institutions in the Higher Education Research and Development Survey.
